Terms of Service
Effective 11 October 2026
Welcome to Tewtors™. These terms are an agreement between you and Rick Tew, who operates Tewtors. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Tewtors.
Who can use Tewtors
Tewtors is for anyone 13 or older. You must be 13 or older to create an account, and you confirm that you are when you sign up. If you are 13 to 17, you can learn on Tewtors on your own. Paying is for adults: full access, a workbook or an answer from a teacher is bought by someone 18 or older, such as a parent or guardian, who confirms their age before paying. Children under 13 do not have accounts of their own; parents and teachers pass on to them what they learn here.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens under your account. Give accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you think your account has been used without your permission.
How you may use Tewtors
Tewtors is for your own personal growth. Do not misuse the app, try to break or bypass its security, or use it to harm, harass, or deceive anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
For people, not bots
Tewtors is made for people. Do not use bots, scrapers, crawlers or AI agents to sign up, sign in, or read, copy or collect anything from the app, and do not share your account with one. We block automated traffic and may close accounts that are used this way.
Books, courses, and content
The books, lessons, and other materials in Tewtors are the intellectual property of Rick Tew and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, redistribute, or resell them.
A printable workbook is for your own use, or your own class: a parent may print it for their family, and a teacher may print copies for the students in their own class. Please do not resell it, post it online, or share the file.
What you upload
What you upload or write, such as a photo, a video, a question or an answer on Tewtors Connect, stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people it is meant for, such as the teacher you asked or the member you answered, only to run Tewtors.
Only upload what you have the right to share. If it shows another person, you need their permission, and for a child, the permission of their parent or guardian. Each upload, and each application to teach, asks you to tick a box confirming this; ticking it is your signed word.
You are responsible for what you upload. If something you upload breaks someone else's rights, you agree to cover the costs we face because of it, including reasonable legal costs. We may remove anything that breaks these terms.
Tewtors Connect and its teachers
The teachers on Tewtors Connect share the method they have lived so you can make it your own. They are independent people, not employees of Tewtors, and what they share is their own view, not professional advice. Payments for requests to a teacher are processed by our payment provider; Tewtors helps connect you and is not a party to the advice itself. Asking a teacher and teaching on Tewtors Connect are for adults 18 or older.
Membership, payments, and refunds
The test drive, Today and your streak, and a taste of each program are free. Full access is a membership that renews automatically, every month or every year, until you cancel. The price and how often you are charged are shown beside the button and on the payment page before you pay, and by paying you agree to these terms, renewal included. There are no hidden fees and no fake discounts. After you join, we email you these renewal terms and how to cancel. You must be 18 or older to pay, and you confirm it before your first payment.
Each renewal is charged to the card you paid with, at the start of each period. If the price of your membership is going to change, we tell you before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you choose.
You can cancel anytime from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your progress remains yours.
If a charge went wrong, for example a double charge, or you paid and genuinely could not access what you paid for, tell us through our contact form within 14 days and we will make it right, including a refund where that is the fair outcome. Beyond that, a membership is refunded by cancelling: you simply are not charged again.
One-off purchases, such as a request to a teacher on Tewtors Connect, show their full price on the button before you confirm, and you are only charged when you confirm.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Tewtors uses your copyrighted work without permission, send us a notice through our contact form with:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email;
- the work you believe was copied;
- where it is on Tewtors, with a link if you have one;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not allowed by you, your agent, or the law;
- a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the work or may act for its owner;
- your signature (a typed full name is fine).
Our designated agent for copyright notices, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (DMCA-1082469): Copyright Agent, Tewtors, 143 La Fortuna, Newbury Park, CA 91320, United States; phone 805-557-8997; email hi@tewtors.com.
We remove material that infringes, and we close the accounts of members who infringe again and again. If something of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter notice the same way.
Not professional advice
Tewtors is educational and motivational. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. For decisions that need a professional, please speak with one.
Our part
We work to keep Tewtors running and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, Rick Tew is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be taken away.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Tewtors grows. If we make important changes we will let you know. Questions? Contact us.
